Collection includes letters between Theodore Gegoux, a French-Canadian painter residing in Aurora, Or., and George H. Himes of the Oregon Historical Society, discussing the acquisition of photographs for the painting and later sale of twenty-nine oil portraits of Portland mayors to the Oregon Historical Society, 1913-1925. Biography of Gegoux is included in the collection.
